Dwell Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of CP-Ti TA2 Welded Joint at 25 °C and 200 °C

We report on studies of the dwell fatigue crack growth (FCG) behavior commercial pure titanium (CP-Ti) TA2 weld joints at 25 °C and 200 °C. Taking into account effects load ratio temperature, impact FCG associated fracture mechanism are clearly demonstrated. Meanwhile, in order to illustrate creep–fatigue interaction, finite element simulations also performed analyze evolution stress strain field near tip. The results show that with increase rate is increased. Furthermore, effect more pronounced higher ratios. Finite simulation indicate induces creep relaxation leads an equivalent plastic With temperature ratio, deformation may lead a creep-dominated behavior. As consistent above analysis, examination surface reveals cavities secondary cracks be observed because increased ratio.
